Terms of service

Effective October 2, 2026

The short version. Pay monthly, cancel any time, keep your data. CrossOff does its best to remove your listings when something sells, but you're still responsible for your marketplace accounts, so keep an eye on anything it flags.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and CrossOff ("we", "us"), operated from British Columbia, Canada. By creating an account or using CrossOff, the Chrome extension or sale alerts by email, you agree to them. If you use CrossOff for a business, you're agreeing on behalf of that business.

2. Your account

You need a valid email address and must be at least 16. Keep your password and connection code private; anything done with them counts as done by you. If you think someone else has your code, make a new one in Setup → Advanced, which stops the old one and disconnects every computer.

3. What CrossOff does

CrossOff stores your inventory and helps you post it: to eBay through eBay's API, and to Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Grailed and VarageSale by filling in each site's sell page in your own Chrome, which you then check and post yourself. On Facebook Marketplace, if you turn on Publish for me, CrossOff also picks the category and condition and submits the listing for you without you checking it first. You're responsible for what you post, including anything CrossOff publishes for you, including text written by the AI listing feature: AI can be wrong about brands, sizes, materials or prices, so read every listing before it goes up.

When an item sells, CrossOff tries to remove its other listings: on eBay and Etsy through their official APIs (once you connect them), and on Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark and Mercari through the extension running in your own Chrome. On the other platforms it works with (Depop, Grailed, Vestiaire Collective, Whatnot, Shopify and VarageSale), it reminds you to remove the listing yourself. Those sites change their pages without notice and the extension only works while Chrome is open on your computer, so removals can be delayed or can fail. CrossOff shows you every removal and its result. When one fails or waits, it's up to you to remove the listing yourself.

The Inbox (on paid plans) gathers messages, offers and questions from your marketplaces so you can answer them in one place: from eBay through its API, from Facebook Marketplace, Depop and Grailed through the extension reading your messages pages, and from the marketplace emails you forward. It can miss or delay messages, so don't rely on it alone for anything time-sensitive such as an offer that expires. You're responsible for the replies you send, including ones the AI suggests.

4. Marketplace rules

You're responsible for following the rules of every marketplace you sell on. eBay's API is used within eBay's terms. Facebook, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Grailed and VarageSale don't offer seller APIs, and automating their sites may go against their terms. Publish for me goes further than filling in a form, so it carries more risk of a marketplace limiting your account. Using the extension, and Publish for me, is your choice; you can use CrossOff without it and mark sales yourself. We aren't responsible for action a marketplace takes against your account, or for a sale cancelled because a listing stayed up.

5. Plans and billing

6. Your content

Your items, photos and notes stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and show them only to run CrossOff for you. Only upload photos and text you have the right to use, and don't use CrossOff for anything illegal, including selling items that are stolen, counterfeit or banned.

7. Fair use

Don't try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around limits in CrossOff, or reach anyone else's data. We may suspend an account that does, or that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

8. Changes and availability

We're improving CrossOff all the time, and features and supported platforms may change. We aim to keep it running around the clock but don't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. If we ever shut CrossOff down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.

9. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, CrossOff is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that it will catch every sale or remove every listing.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, lost profits, marketplace fees, cancelled orders or account suspensions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it arose, or $50 CAD if that's more. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

11. Ending

You can stop using CrossOff and ask us to delete your account at any time. We can end these terms with 30 days' notice, or right away for a serious breach. Sections 4, 6 and 9 to 12 continue after the account closes.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of British Columbia, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to use your own courts.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use CrossOff after that means you accept the new terms.
